Without a prominent toy line from Bandai America Inc. for more than eight years, the return of DBZ in toy-form is what title licensor FUNimation Entertainment Dragon Ball Z Bandai America Toy Fair 2008and top toy group Bandai are hoping will rejuvenate the fan base.

With new action figure designs of memorable characters and the property's debut in the Role-Play category, Dragonball Z is gearing up for a mighty impressive splash in the Spring and Fall seasons.

The exclusive toy manufacturer for Dragonball Z, Bandai is making sure that fan satisfaction is at the top of the list with the title's return to the toy market. The Spring 2008 line-up includes a good array of toys never-before-seen on western shores, delivered straight from Japan for the States. A line of toys, exclusively designed for the western market, is also on tap from Bandai this year.

"Bandai America returned to the Dragonball Z brand not only to satisfy the existing demand for new products, but also to take the toy line to a new dimension, which i why we're launching in the role-lay category for the first time," Colleen Sherfey, Senior Director of Marketing, Bandai America Inc., commented recently.

"The exciting Fall line-up allows us to target both adult fans looking to further build their Dragonball Z toy collections, as well as the younger generation who will be drawn to the property by the play patterns and become future collectors."
