International star (A Better Tomorrow, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) will be starring in Twentieth Century Fox's live-action Dragon Ball film adaptation.Chow  will play Master Roshi the mentor to the film's lead character Son Goku (Justin Chatwin).Chow has received the script and plans on going on location in Mexico for two months. Chow joins a Dragon Ball cast Chatwin, James Marsters (Piccolo), Emmy Rossum (Bulma), Jamie Chung (Chi Chi), ErikoTamura (Mai) and Joon Park (Yamcha)
Emmy Rossum (Mystic River, The Day After Tomorrow) has landed a major role in Dragonball. She will play the female lead role Bulma, while Emmy Rossum's character - a 16-year-old genius named Bulma.

 
ErikoTamura (Mai) will play one of the antagonists; (Mai) Mai is one of two of Emperor Pilaf’s minions. She is one of very few female characters in the Dragon Ball universe.Eriko Tamura, who played the sword smith's daughter, has been cast as Mai.

"Sorry I've been rather quiet for a bit, I've been working on a very exciting new film that I'm shooting outside the US. I'm working with the great Chow Yun Fat and I'm very excited about the role, which is so different than any role I've ever played. I love the character and I'm excited to get to share something so fun with you. In prep for the film I've been training very hard, learning how to fight, fire a gun, weapons training and even some martial arts.
