Popular in several foreign territories only making its debut in the States this coming summer, the well anticipated Dragonball Z
'Dragonball Z' in Card Formcollectible card game from Bandai America Inc. will serve as a good companion to the already well received toy line.
Banking on the sustainable popularity of franchise designed trading / battle / collection cards from young anime fans from all over the world, the Dragonball Z CCG scheduled for release in a few months will help feed the need to again place Toriyama action anime property back on store shelves all over again.

 The Dragonball Z collectible card game will incorporate a game system, according to Bandai America, that is based on the schema used to create the phenomenally successful release of the Naruto CCG. Meshing the fan base of each anime title respectively, the new Dragonball Z card game should similarly draw a great number of players. As Bandai asserts, "The compatibility of these two CCGs will undoubtedly result in incredible card game battles between these two very popular licenses."

"Bandai's Dragon Ball card game has already seen huge success throughout Asia and Europe, and we're finally thrilled to introduce our new CCG to North America, along with a lineup of action figures and other toys throughout the year," Danny Satyapan, Director of Bandai America's cards division, commented.Delivering the specifics on the new collectible card game, Bandai American, Inc. notes that the game's release will reportedly consist of "all three sagas," presumably outlined as Dragon Ball, DBZ and Dragonball GT.The collectible card game wil finds its way to store shelves on July 18th, 2008 in the form of a "Warriors Return" starter deck ($8.99) as well as a booster pack ($3.99).'Dragonball Z' in Card Form

Bandai America is supporting the game with a strong organized play program that will reward tournament participation at conventions and hobby retailers with promotional Dragonball Z cards, game mats and other exclusive prizing.

Dragonball Z found its home on western shores in the mid-1990s and has since permeated the United States manga/anime culture in one form or another. Currently airing on Cartoon Network, the action anime often billed as one of the most influential in dictating the rise of otakuism in the States continues to feed off the effervescent pride its fans young and old have for it's legendary tale of heroism. Bandai America, at present is also releasing a brand new toy line for the Dragonball Z franchise, the first in eight years [recent A.I. news: "Bandai America Toy Fair 2008: 'Dragonball Z'"].
