Androids Saga

The saga starts with showing Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo flying to the island nine miles southwest of South City, where the androids are expected to be. They find Krillin flying to the scene also, they catch up with him, and fly together to the island. They float over it, looking at all of the buildings and people. They realize that they have to divert the androids away from the island. They then see Yamcha, Tien, Bulma and a baby that she has in her arms. Most of them have changed. Tien has his new outfit on, Yamcha has a new hairstyle, and Bulma has much more straight hair than before. Krillin, Gohan, and Goku all see Bulma, and have a strange reaction to the kid she has in her hands. They wonder who the baby is. They already think that it is her baby. They immediately assume that it is Yamcha’s baby. But Yamcha grunts, saying that it isn’t his. Goku immediately says that it is Vegeta’s, and that his name is Trunks!!! But Goku isn’t supposed to know this yet. Trunks from the future told him about it. So Bulma wonders how he knew. Goku makes up crazy explanations, and she believes him. They wonder where Vegeta is, But Goku assures them that he will show up. Meanwhile, Piccolo and Tien look over the cliff at the city realizing that they only have one-half hour to go.

Meanwhile, Dr. Brief looks for his grandson and realizes that Bulma took him. He tests out his new toy, only for it to get messed up. Next, Yajirobe comes and gives Goku a bag of Senzu Beans, and flies off, not even saying yes to helping them defeat the androids, but everyone hears an explosion, and Yajirobe’s car flies into the water! They see the two androids, only for them to disappear in the city. They realize that they won’t be able to sense them because they are androids. They then search for them, splitting up. Two people examine Yajirobe’s car, which blew up from the sky. Then they see two strange people, they are killed by the two people, and one of them kills another person driving. The androids fly in the air sensing Yamcha coming. Yamcha finds the tree dead people, and realizes that the androids are near. He looks for them. The two look at him from above, and look to see if he is the one they seek. He isn’t, and they say that they will destroy him. They fly down to him. Yamcha looks at them, and sees the Red Ribbon symbol on them, and realizes that they are them. He tries to yell for everyone to come, but they cover his mouth, and he can’t do anything. He tries to pull it away, but a little later, the same android puts his hand through his stomach. At that point, everyone senses Yamcha’s power going down, and they fly to him. They all see him, near dead, and are ready to fight the androids. One of the androids is fat, very white, and talks like a robot. The other, much like a human, has old human skin, a mustache and a beard that covers almost his whole mouth, and has the rest of his body covered. The more human like one is the one who beat up Yamcha. Goku tells Krillin to take Yamcha to the cliff, where Bulma has the Senzu Beans.

Meanwhile, Goku and the others are just about to face the androids, when they realize that they have to leave the area. The older android, also known as Android 20, agrees with him, and he starts blowing up everything around them. Goku charges him, and punches him, making him stop firing. Goku then leads them away from the city. They show Gohan, who pulled Yajirobe out of the water, Krillin, Yamcha, now healed, and Bulma all looking to see what they just did to the city, and sees everyone leaving the city. Yamcha tells them that someone has to tell them that the Androids absorb energy!!! They wonder how he knows. And Yamcha explains that when the Android grabbed him, he can feel his energy being sucked out of his body. Krillin and Gohan fly off to tell them, and to see the outcome. Yamcha flies off next. Bulma tries to make Yajirobe leave with them, but he can’t fly, making Bulma stop. Meanwhile, Android 20, and the other, 19, with Goku leading along with Tien and Piccolo behind fly off to fight at a different place. 20 asks Goku where they are going. Goku makes a painful look to himself,  grabbing his left side for some reason. Android 19 and 20 decide to stop where they are. Everyone stops, including Goku, who is still strangely holding his left side, near his heart, and appears to be in pain. They land, and Piccolo looks around to see that they might be attempting to run away due to high ground. Goku asks them how they know their names, while out of breath. Tien finds this very strange because Goku couldn’t have lost all of that strength flying. Android 20 tells Goku how they examined Goku and the others, to create Androids with powers capable of beating him. Goku then asks him if they followed him to planet Namek, but they didn’t. So they don’t know that Goku is a Super Saiyan! He transforms, and Piccolo looks a little surprised. Goku charges them, and 19 fights first. Goku appears to have an advantage, and appears to be out of breath. Nobody cares though. Next, he fires a Kamehameha, which is a big mistake. Android 19 absorbs all of the energy, and appears much stronger now. Goku is now out of breath, which Piccolo and Gohan realize, and is very strange. They realize that Goku has the heart virus right now! Then 19 gains an advantage on Goku. He then starts to absorb Goku’s energy, after reverting to his normal form from being beaten. Piccolo tries to attack, but is stopped by who it appears to be Android 20. But 19 is kicked away from Goku, and it is Vegeta!

Piccolo then realizes that Vegeta had stopped him from going after Android 20. Vegeta then yells at Goku for not realizing that his virus was close by. He kicks Goku lightly to the others, knocking Goku out big time. Gohan was going to take Goku but Yamcha does instead, thinking that Gohan would be a big help to them. They leave, and Vegeta challenges Android 19. In no time at all, he has 19’s hands and wrists ripped off, and Android 19 running away. But Vegeta blows up Android 19 for good, and 19 loses everything but his head, which is very disfigured. But 19 has absorbed some of Vegeta’s energy, and he tries to bluff 20 into running away. He challenges 20, and he runs off! Vegeta yells for Krillin to give him a Senzu bean. Krillin does so, and Vegeta flies away to find Android 20.

Meanwhile, Bulma and Yajirobe are right nearby trying to catch all of the action by air. The smoke from Vegeta’s blast doesn’t help them at all, and they go in low, with Yajirobe screaming and making the baby cry. Meanwhile, Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo and Tien all go after Vegeta and Android 20 to catch the Android and kill him. While searching, Vegeta tries to smoke him out, and 20 steals Vegeta’s energy from the blast. Vegeta is mad at himself. And 20 has once again hid. He absorbs most of Piccolo’s energy, before Gohan knocks him in the head just in time. Piccolo gets a Senzu from Krillin, and is healed. He challenges 20, and they fight, with Piccolo appearing to have an advantage. Then, we see Trunks, back from the future, examining the destroyed city, and assumes that it is over, until he senses powers fighting. He flies off to them. He passes Bulma and Yajirobe, and Bulma recognizes him as the kid. But before Trunks arrives at the battlefield, he sees the aftermath of the fight between Vegeta and Android 19. He looks at 19’s head, wondering who it is, because these aren’t the androids that destroyed Dr. Gero! He arrives at the battlefield, and Piccolo, not thinking, exclaims “Trunks is back!” This sparks something in Vegeta. He realizes that he is his son from the future. He is then happy that Trunks achieves such a high level at a young age.

Bulma and Yajirobe then arrive, and everyone is distracted away from 20, who realizes this, and runs off, but before he does, he tells everyone that he will unleash androids 17 and 18 to destroy them all. He runs off, with everyone mad that he made such a dirty exit. Trunks then says something very strange. He says that these aren’t the androids he is fighting in his time!! This shocks everyone, and they wonder if the two he is talking about are the real ones that he is fighting. He says they are. He says that Android 17 has long black hair and a scarf around his neck and Android 18 is a beautiful young girl. Meanwhile, Bulma and the others realize that the future Trunks is Bulma’s and Vegeta’s son. Everyone is shocked. Meanwhile, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin and Tien all fly off to find Android 20, who they now know is Dr. Gero from Bulma. Gohan takes Bulma and Yajirobe home. Meanwhile, Dr. Gero blasts a hunter because the hunter accidentally shot him. Krillin sees the blast, and finds the hunter, who tells him that Dr. Gero has left the area. Krillin then sees dead animals from another blast. He is then beaten by Dr. Gero, and he takes off once again. Krillin gets up and finds his lab though, and Dr. Gero walks in it. Krillin sends out a signal to everyone that he found the lab. But by the time everyone gets there, it is too late. The androids have been released. Vegeta blasts the door down, and sees what has been taking place inside.

Inside, Android 17 and 18 have been awakened, only for them to rebel and steal Dr. Gero’s remote control that deactivates them. Android 17 also destroyed the controller. They then begin to loom over another area where there is another deactivated android, and wonder how long he has been there. Dr. Gero tries to stop them, but then, 17 kicks his head off and steps on it, killing him. Android 18 is then ready to open the chamber, when Trunks enrages and blows up the whole laboratory. Everyone was caught off guard by the blast, but they are ok. Androids 17 and 18 are too, holding up the untouched chamber of Android 16! They open it, and out comes a huge android, but very quiet. 17 and 18 ask 16 a lot of questions, but he doesn’t answer. 17 then asks him if his soul mission was to destroy Goku. 16 says that’s right. They then realize that he has only been programmed to speak about the subject of his mission, which I don’t think is true. They then fly off, with everyone not knowing where they are going, and Vegeta about to fly off to challenge them. Trunks gets in his way, and pays a price by getting a hard hit to his stomach, and Vegeta flies off. They wait for Trunks to recover while Vegeta looks for the Androids. He finds them waiting for a car to pass by so they can steal it and drive off.

Vegeta then challenges the android trio, and 17 tells 16 to attack, but he refuses, surprising 17. 18 challenges him instead. They fight, and 18 appears to be going easy on him, because all of his blows barely scratch 18. She kicks it up a notch then, headbutting Vegeta and hitting him into a cliff. Everyone arrives then, but have to back off, or else 17 will step in and fight them. Vegeta then gets out, and fights some more. Vegeta then gets beat up, with the final blow appearing to be 18 kicking him in the arm, twisting it badly. Trunks then flies in to help with his sword. He transforms, and swings it at 18, only to stop the sword, and Trunks looking at his sword break apart from the power of her arm. 17 then hits Trunks and knocks him down. Everyone then steps in except Krillin, who is scared, and Android 16, who will only fight Goku. Piccolo gets hit, and Tien is being choked. Piccolo then flies up, making 17 let Tien go, and then 17 punches Piccolo in the stomach hard, knocking Piccolo out. Vegeta and Trunks are still awake though, and while Vegeta gets beat up some more, Trunks flies in again, only to get his father thrown at him, knocking him out. And after more fighting, Vegeta is knocked out as well.

Then 17 and 18 look at Krillin, who is scared to death. They fly up to him, and talk to him, but he won’t respond. They are about to fly off when Krillin confronts them, saying Goku is sick, and they shouldn’t try and fight someone helpless like him. But they insist that they need to go because of Android 16 being programmed to destroy him. They fly off, and Krillin is speechless.

Krillin still has senzu beans, so he gives one to everyone except Vegeta, who needs two because he is badly beat up. Vegeta flies off in anger, and Trunks is about to follow, but Piccolo stops him. Piccolo then gets angry also and flies off, but Krillin knows exactly what he is going to do. He is going to fuse with Kami! Krillin, Trunks, and Tien fly off to get Goku and bring him to Master Roshi’s house. Piccolo then arrives at the Lookout, and Kami already knows what is going on. But he doesn’t want to fuse yet because he wants to see how things play out. Piccolo is confused, but he waits anyway. Tien flies to Master Roshi’s, gets Chiaotzu, and flies off to train some more for the androids. Krillin and Trunks take Goku, Chi-Chi, Yamcha and Gohan on an airplane to Master Roshi’s, because the Androids know where Goku lives. Meanwhile, they call Bulma and let them know what has happened, and she has some startling news. She says that she got a call from a man who said that there was some strange machine on his property. How he described it didn’t make sense, so she told him to send a picture of it through the fax. She said that it was Trunks’ Time Machine, in a wreck!! But Trunks says that he has the Time Capsule in his pocket. Bulma makes sure by sending a copy of the photo through the fax. Trunks sees it. It is covered in moss and plants, and it is in awful condition. This is just the start of the awful things to come.
