Namek Saga

We begin this saga where the first one left off. Krillin had thrown the Spirit Bomb at Vegeta but he avoided it, forcing Gohan to bounce it back to him, sending him flying. Everyone thinks he is dead, until he falls out of the sky unconscious. Much more beat up than he was before, he hits the ground and just lays there for a while. He wakes up, and starts by going after Krillin and Gohan. Krillin gets beat up, and so does Gohan. But, suddenly, Gohan’s tail grows back! And Vegeta realizes that he forgot to get rid of the fake moon! He tries to pull Gohan’s tail out, but gets distracted and Gohan transforms! Gohan is uncontrollable and isn’t attacking Vegeta but everything in sight! Goku calls out to him which stops Gohan in his tracks. Goku tells him to go after Vegeta, and Gohan does so. Vegeta manages to cut his tail off, but Gohan, still large in size, is falling right on top of Vegeta!!! He and Vegeta crash to the ground. Vegeta is still alive though, and Krillin is about to kill him with Yajirobe’s sword, but after a talk with Goku, he lets Vegeta go in his spacepod. Vegeta flies off, saying he will be back.

Meanwhile, everyone finds Krillin, Gohan and Goku all beat up, and fly them to the hospital. But not before seeing all of the dead bodies left behind (not seen in the dubs. A real great scene). Nobody would be able to wish back anyone because Piccolo is dead, which made Kami gone too. Then Krillin realized something. Remember in the first saga when Vegeta and Nappa said that Piccolo was from Namek and that the Namekians were the originators of the Dragonballs. Krillin realizes that they can go to Planet Namek and get the Dragonballs there and wish everyone back. Everyone agrees. While sitting in the hospital, they are trying to figure out how to get a spaceship to go to Namek. Mr. Popo then decides to drop in and says that he might know where there is a spaceship. Bulma goes with him to see where the ship is. They see it, and see that it is still intact. Bulma wonders where the spaceship came from. Mr. Popo explains that Kami arrived in this ship and had been staying in this far off place for some time until he flew to the Guardian to fill his position as Guardian of Earth. Then Mr. Popo tells her that the spaceship works using Namekian commands. So Bulma must know Namekian in order to fly the ship. She learns the Namekian while the ship is taken to Capsule Corp. and is restored back to the way it was with Dr. Brief’s help. Then it is time to go.

Gohan, Bulma, and Krillin all take the trip. They think it would be an easy trip, but they were wrong. First, a bunch of people begin shooting at them. Then, after avoiding all of them, they fall into a black hole. And then they land on a ship where everyone is against them. But they are all children. But when Krillin and Gohan help in their time of need, they realize they are good. They explain how Frieza destroyed their whole planet and they had to use this ship to escape. And that’s why they didn’t like Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin. Because they thought that they were Frieza’s henchmen. They allow them to leave, but Gohan, Bulma, and Krillin all get into more trouble. They find Namek and crash land on it, knocking each of them out. When they wake up, they find two old Namekians. The two old Namekians offer to go look for the Dragonballs along with them. Meanwhile, a still injured Goku tries to train partially wounded, but winds up back in the hospital. Meanwhile, the two Namekians help Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin find the Dragonballs, until they see that they are aliens and that this isn’t really Namek! The Dragonballs aren’t real, and the two aliens try to kill the three Earthlings and take their ship to escape. But Bulma, Gohan and Krillin escape leaving the two aliens alone on their planet again.

Vegeta has healed himself at one of Frieza’s bases, and flies off to Namek in a spacepod. And his enemy, Kui, flies behind him just to challenge him. Meanwhile, Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin finally arrive on the real Namek, only to realize that Vegeta has healed, and has arrived in a spacepod, with another right behind it! Then, shortly after, Frieza senses Gohan and the others, and sends two henchmen to see what is going on over there. They blow a hole in the ship, and Gohan and Krillin kill the two henchmen. Meanwhile, Goku has recovered completely from his wounds thanks to a Senzu Bean, and takes a Capsule Space Ship to Namek!

Meanwhile, Kui has challenged Vegeta to a fight. Vegeta beats the heck out of Kui and kills him. Then he is off to find the Dragonballs. Gohan and Krillin has seen Frieza and his henchmen, and they decide to fly and see what is going on. They arrive at a Namekian village where Frieza and his henchmen are threatening a flock of Namekians to give up their Dragonball. The elder of the area is holding two children, and tells them to go and run away. One of them is killed, forcing the hidden Gohan and Krillin to go after the other one.

They get him, and fly away from a henchman that Frieza has sent. His name is Dodoria. Gohan, Krillin, and Dende, the Namekian, manage to hide from Dodoria, but Dodoria can’t hide from Vegeta. Vegeta forces Dodoria to tell him about his home planet and his people. Dodoria then provides important information about Planet Vegeta. He explains that Vegeta’s father was slaughtered by Frieza, and Frieza destroyed the entire planet with a finger, and killed all of the people in it. After providing the information, Vegeta says he will let Dodoria go, but instead, blows him up.

Meanwhile, Gohan and Krillin hear from Bulma that Goku has hopped on a spaceship and will arrive within the week! Everyone is happy that he will arrive soon. Meanwhile, Goku, training under intense gravity, hears from Dr. Brief, who says that the ship has rerouted, and is going into a hot planet! And Goku has to stop it! Goku gets out of his spaceship, and using a Kamehameha wave, pushes it back into orbit. Meanwhile, Vegeta beats Frieza to a Namekian Village containing the fifth Dragonball, and Vegeta hides it underwater.

Meanwhile, Goku is training when he hears from King Kai. It appears that Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo have all made it to his planet for training! King Kai also tells Goku something about Namek. He hears that an all-powerful being is there, and his name is Frieza. King Kai forces Goku to promise not to fight Frieza. But Goku has promised, even though he will still try to fight him. Meanwhile, Krillin, Gohan, and Bulma have heard of the Eldest Namek. Dende agrees to take Krillin while Gohan goes to look for a Dragonball, the one Vegeta has hidden.

Vegeta, meanwhile, challenges Zarbon to a fight. Zarbon transforms into this huge monster, and nearly kills Vegeta! Zarbon then flies back to Frieza’s ship to tell him the news. Meanwhile, Krillin and Dende find The Eldest Namek. There they meet two people. Nail, a servant of the Eldest Namek, and the other’s name is Guru, the eldest Namek himself. The Elder offers two things to Krillin. First, he awakens his sleeping powers, making him stronger than before, and second, he gave him the last Dragonball that hasn’t been found. Krillin happily flies off by himself with the Dragonball. Meanwhile, Frieza is furious at Zarbon for leaving Vegeta for dead. He orders Zarbon to get him within the hour or he will be dead. Zarbon flies off to get him. He finds him in the water, almost completely dead. He takes him back to Frieza’s ship.

When Vegeta wakes up, he destroys everything in sight. He kills many of Frieza’s henchmen, and then take away all five Dragonballs that Frieza has. Zarbon is ordered by Frieza to find him or else. Vegeta is happy about the Dragonballs because he threw them all in one place and they are well hidden. When he hides them, he finds Krillin heading out with the last Dragonball he needs. He flies off after him. This makes Zarbon notice him, and he flies after him as well. Meanwhile, Goku is going through hard time in his spaceship. He hit a magnetic field, making the gravity device bounce from 1 to 100x Earth’s gravity and right back to 1. Goku struggles until it stops, but now it is on 100, and Goku is dangling on rope! He finally forces himself down, and turns the gravity back to 1. But he then says that he has to try and train under that intensity.

Meanwhile, Krillin has landed on the campsite only to find out that Gohan is out looking for another Dragonball and that Vegeta is right behind him! Vegeta lands and demands the Dragonball. But just then, Zarbon arrives. Being the handsome looking guy he is, he is mistaken as a hero by Bulma of course. She is falling for him until he transforms. Then she realizes that he is the enemy. Vegeta, now rejuvenated, blows Zarbon in the water. Then he takes the Dragonball and flies off. Then he senses someone. It’s Gohan with his Dragonball!! Vegeta doesn’t know this yet. But he confronts Gohan who has hidden the Dragonball awaiting his arrival. After a short beating and speech by Vegeta, Gohan then is happy that he got to keep the Dragonball without him knowing. But when Vegeta goes to find it and doesn’t find it, he knows Gohan had it. Meanwhile, Gohan goes back to the camp, and Krillin exclaims that they have to leave or Vegeta will blow them up. Meanwhile, an enraged Vegeta blows up the whole camping ground only to find they weren’t there.

Then, Krillin leaves with Gohan to see Guru to awaken his sleeping powers. That leaves Bulma with the Dragonball. The Dragonball rolls into a lake, making her go after it. She then is confronted by two of Frieza’s henchmen. The two henchmen are demanding the Dragonballs, making Bulma go back underwater and find them, or at least she wants them to think that. She traps them there, and goes back to shore with her one Dragonball. Meanwhile, Krillin and Gohan have been found by Vegeta! And he is after them without them knowing! Angry that Zarbon has been destroyed, Frieza decides to call in the Ginyu Force, Frieza’s elite fighting squad. He gets word that they are approaching soon. Meanwhile, Krillin and Gohan haven’t realized that Vegeta is right behind them. Krillin orders Gohan to go inside of Guru’s house while he distracts Vegeta.

Guru awakens Gohan’s power and then he starts to sense something. The Ginyu Force is close! So Krillin and Gohan make a truce with Vegeta and fly off to get the Dragonball left with Bulma. Meanwhile, the Ginyu Force arrive and make a funny appearance in front of Frieza. The first one is Recoome, the second one Burter, the third one Jeice, the fourth one Guldo, and last but not least Captain Ginyu. Frieza gives them the order to go after Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta. They fly off. After taking that one, they land at the spot where the other 5 are at. Then they are confronted by the Ginyu Force! The Ginyu Force manage to snatch all of the Dragonballs that they had. Captain Ginyu then flew off with all seven Dragonballs. That left Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta to face Guldo, Recoome, Burter and Jeice. First to face was Guldo. Krillin and Gohan charge at him with everything they got, but his time tricks keep on leaving them with nothing. But then Guldo uses his “Body Binds” Technique. It traps them inside of a wierd spiral. Guldo starts to beat them up. And just when he is about to kill them, Vegeta knocks his head off. Next to face was Recoome, who was faced by Vegeta alone.

Vegeta powered up good, but in the end, Recoome was the champ of that fight. Krillin was taken out easily. But Gohan was a different matter. He lasted the longest, but still was knocked out. But Goku arrives right at that point!!! He gives Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta Senzu Beans. They all heal. And Recoome is wondering who this guy is. Then Vegeta starts to sense something different about Goku. He starts to wonder if he became a legendary Super Saiyan. He explains that a Super Saiyan appears every 3,000 years, and that Goku might be the next one. He explains that the last one was an ape when he transformed, and he exploded due to too much power that was uncontrollable. When just then, Goku knocks out Recoome with one blow!!! Vegeta starts to realize it’s true... That Goku is the Legendary Super Saiyan!!!!
