World Tournament Saga

The World Tournament Saga starts right where the last saga left off, Vegeta has just broken the punching machine and everyone is looking in disbelief that he just did it. Everyone except for Gohan and the others are surprised, even Videl can't understand it. She asks Gohan why he isn't surprised, but he tries to cover it up and say that he is. Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, 18, and Piccolo start to walk over to the arena to watch the Junior Division, while Gohan and Videl have to stay around and wait for the new punching machine to come out.

Before the fight starts, they show a little video of how Mr. Satan beat Cell. Completely different from what the actual fight was, it showed the audience the complete opposite of what really happened, and showed him beating Cell instead of Gohan. Mr. Satan never really knew what to expect and he ran away before any of the video could've been played. After that, he yelled at whoever put it up, even though it promoted him because he never allowed that movie to come on.

Back at the Junior Division, all of the matches are boring, including Trunks' and Goten's matches, but the final match is the most interesting of all of them, Trunks vs. Goten! Before the fight, they agreed to not become Super Saiyans, but Goten breaks that promise to Gohan by transforming after Trunks had him locked between his arms trying to make him give up. Trunks yells at him but they continue the fight anyway. Gohan and Videl finally show up while the fight was going on after the new punching machine was brought up and they finally got their readings. Videl can't believe her eyes when she sees Trunks and Goten fight each other. Goten finally seems to gain the upper hand, but Trunks transforms, and just barely knocks Goten out of the ring! Trunks is then the winner! Goten yells at Trunks for transforming, but Trunks tells him they're even since Goten transformed once before. Trunks then tells Goten that he'll give him one of his toys, and Goten is happy.

Now the announcer says that Trunks gets to have an exhibition match with Mr. Satan! Of course he's been watching part of this match and is pretty much hiding because he knows that Trunks and Goten have something to do with the people from the Cell Games, seeing them both transform into Super Saiyans. He finally comes out, and then he tries to make a deal with Trunks. He tells him that they will do something called a "champion's greeting." What he does is each give a little punch on the face. Trunks understands, and Satan tells him to go first. Trunks gives a "little" punch to his face, sending Mr. Satan flying into a wall out of the ring! The crowd is stunned, but Hercule gets back up and shows that he allowed Trunks to give him a punch to the face. He leaves and goes to his little room, and then grabs his cheek in agony.

Meanwhile, the Adult Competition fighters are called to an area where they can rest and eat, and then they will draw numbers for the matches. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and the others all go to the area where they can eat. Of course, being Saiyans, Goku, Gohan and Vegeta all devour the food there, and finally they are leaving the area to go and draw their numbers. But before they get there, they meet two people. One of the people is a short, sort of light purple colored guy with a white mohawk and strange clothing. The other is much taller, is red in skin color, has long white hair, and almost the same clothing as the other one. The short guy walks up to Goku, and tells him that he has been looking forward to meeting him, and hopes to fight him in the ring. Goku tells him that he is too. They shake hands, and Goku just stares at the strange man, not knowing anything about him. They both leave, and they never get to know what their names are.

Finally, it is time to draw the numbers. While the numbers are being drawn, Goku finds out from the announcer when he mentions their names that the short one is named Shin, and the taller one is named Kibito. Finally the matches are picked out, and they were as follows:

1. Krillin vs. Pintar
2. Piccolo vs. Shin
3. Videl vs. Spopovitch
4. Kibito vs. Great Saiyaman
5. #18 vs. Mr. Satan
6. Goku vs. Vegeta
7. Mighty Mask vs. Killa
8. Jewel vs. Yamu

The first match starts, Krillin vs. Pintar. Krillin is easily 4 times smaller than this guy, but Krillin doesn't seem too worried. Pintar tries to hit Krillin, but Krillin just winds up knocking him out.

The second match, Piccolo vs. Shin, is a lot more stranger than the first. Piccolo stands there, watching Shin, wondering where he has sensed his energy before. Then something hits him, and he isn't sure, but he thinks he knows who it is, but doesn't admit it. He wonders if he is right, and Shin, surprisingly, can read his thoughts and tells him he will find out soon enough! This shocks Piccolo, and they stand for about five minutes doing nothing, and the crowd starts to boo them off. Piccolo finally forfeits, and leaves the match. While inside, Piccolo asks Shin if he is the Grand Kai. He says he isn't, but Kibito tells him that he is the Supreme Kai! This shocks Piccolo, and Supreme Kai tells him not to tell anyone.

The third match finally starts, Videl vs. Spopovitch. Spopovitch is a big muscle-bound thug who just breathes and breathes like he is a psycho, and Videl just watches him. Videl is expected to blow this guy out of the water, since her dad did in the last tournament. But Spopovitch has changed, he is bald, where before he had long hair, and he has no facial hair either, and he barely talks. Videl starts to beat him up, but he keeps on getting up. Finally Spopovitch starts landing some punches, breaking her nose. She then tries to kick him in the face, and she twists his neck, and he appears dead! Videl is about to be disqualified, but Spopovitch gets back up, and moves his head back to normal! Videl can't believe it, and she takes flight to regain some of her strength. But now Spopovitch flies up too, and starts to attack Videl! She is beginning to lose the match, but everytime the announcer wants her to give up, she won't. Finally, Spopovitch starts to step on her head, and is about to crush her! Yamu comes up to Spopovitch, and tells him she isn't what they are here for. Spopovitch then kicks her out of the ring, making Gohan run out to get her. He tells Spopovitch that he will be beaten for what he did to Videl. Spopovitch laughs and walks away. Gohan takes her to the emergency room, and they are working to try and heal her. Satan, who doesn't believe that she has been beaten by someone that he beat up, runs over to see her. Gohan tells him that she will be okay, and then he leaves. Gohan goes to tell the announcer to wait a while because Goku is out to get Senzu beans for Videl, and the announcer says that they will wait. Finally he arrives, Gohan gives her the bean, and he goes to fight Kibito.

Gohan and Kibito stand there, and the fight begins. Kibito then tells Gohan to transform into a Super Saiyan! Gohan doesn't know why, but he does anyway. Then he goes up to Super Saiyan 2! Spopovitch and Yamu sense it, and they both jump after Gohan. They stab a little bottle into him and are stealing his energy, or so it seems. Everyone is about to go out and help, but Shin tells them not to, and Piccolo tells them to believe him because he is the Supreme Kai! Everyone is in disbelief, but they do what Supreme Kai says, including Videl, who is healed and wants to help him. Kibito stands and watches as they do so, and they finally finish, and leave. Videl runs out to see Gohan, who is completely drained of energy. The clinics are trying to pick Gohan up, but Kibito yells at them not to. They stand back, and Kibito is healing Gohan.

Meanwhile, Supreme Kai, Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, and Piccolo fly off to follow Spopovitch and Yamu. After Gohan is healed, he, Videl, and Kibito fly off as well. Supreme Kai and Kibito start to explain that there is a person named Babidi who is on the Earth trying to resurrect his father, Bibidi's creation, Majin Buu! Nobody knows what it is, but Supreme Kai and Kibito explain that it is a monster who destroys planets one by one, and it is here on the Earth, and Spopovitch and Yamu's purpose was to get energy for Majin Buu, and that is why they took Gohan's energy!
