The Warrior's Decision - Vegeta fights amazingly against Buu, showing himself to be more powerful than Gohan had been against Cell. But Buu seems invincible, and Trunks and Goten jump in to help.
Final Atonement - For the sake of his son and other loved ones, Vegeta chooses to explode himself to kill Buu. Trunks and Goten try to prevent him, so he knocks them unconscious. Vegeta grabs Buu and explodes, vanishing in an aura of light.
