Originator: Unknown Style Master(s): Kami, Guru Students: Nail, Piccolo, Goku, Gohan, Mr. Popo History:The exact origin of this style is unknown, but it is known that being trained in this style is very rare. This form shows a complete mastery over ki control, and is a good base for ultimate techniques. Kami teaches Goku this Art, and it is one of his major martial arts foundations. Training Techniques: Ki Control Most of the Ancient Art training is simply ki and mind training. The user has to learn how to use his mind, spirit, and body as one. Upon mastering this method, the user's ki becomes almost invisible, and the speed is amazing.Another method used is the ability to bring out potential energy. Guru does this to Gohan and Kuririn, and immediately the become much stronger than they were before. Meditiation Since the Ancient Art is all about full Ki Control, it only makes sense that Meditation would play a large role in the training. We know that Piccolo spends 95% of his training time in deep meditation, going over techniques in his mind over and over. Since fighting is 90% mental and 10% physical, this helped Piccolo out a lot. A way to enhance the physical aspects of ones body while meditating is to wear weighted clothing and float while in meditation. Fighting Techniques: Probably the most efficient technique used throughout the series is the Dragon Ball Creation. Kami creates a set of Dragonballs for the earth, and if it wasn't for them the Earth would have been destroyed many times. In order to use this technique, the user must have a model of a dragon that they want to create, along with a set standard for rules for the dragon. The more powerful you want to make the dragon, the bigger the 'balls. The Dragon that is createdis only as powerful as the namek that created him, so Piccolo was able to destroy Shenron because he was more powerful than Kami.

During the Furiza Saga, Piccolo finds a beat up Nail, and Nail asks him to merge. With this merge comes massive power, and Piccolo was able to fight 2nd form furiza on equal grounds. Later, during the Android Saga, Piccolo fuses with Kami, who were both once 1 being, and the result was even more powerful because of this. Want to know more about fusions? Click here! Reverse Mafuba Piccolo creates the Reverse Mafuba to ensure that he never got stuck in the denshi jar again. During the Budoukai, Kami attempts to capture him using the Mafuba, but Piccolo reverses the attack and captures Kami, then swallows the jar he was in. However, Goku saved Kami when Piccolo increased his size by going down his throat and getting the bottle back. The technique is almost identical to the regular Mafuba. The Renzokou Senkou Dan is a variation of the Renzokou Kikou Ha that piccolo came up with while fighting Android 17 in the Cell Saga. The ki blasts are fired the same, but they stop around the victim, literally surrounding it with balls of ki, and then upon command come charging down into the opponent. This technique would have easily won the battle for Piccolo, but unfortunately, Android 17 threw up a ki barrier just in the nick of time. Sai Sei The Namekian Sai Sei ability allows them to regenerate destroyed anatomy. This technique comes in handy quite a few times, and when Nail uses it while battling Furiza, Furiza is impressed by it. It is also used against the Z senshi by Cell, who uses it quite frequently to regenerate his limbs, and even his whole body, from a single cell in his brain. Kaifuku Guru gives Dende the Kaifuku healing ability during the Namek Saga, so Dende could help out the Z senshi battle Furiza. And just like Guru predicted, it comes in handy a whole lot. He uses it to heal Gohan, Kuririn, Piccolo, and even Vegeta. This technique can heal any wound, but cannot raise from the dead. Makenkosappo After Piccolo was defeated by Goku, he came up with the Makenkosappo during his training. This technique is amazingly powerful, but in order for it to be effective, it has to be charged for about 2 minutes. We are first introduced to it during the Raditz fight, where he uses it to punch a hole straight through Raditz and Goku. He uses it several times later in the series, but it never appears to be as effective as this first time. To charge for this attack, the user places two fingers on the forehead, and the ki is charged into the fingers. Then, when the blast is fired, there are 2 beams, one going out straight and the other spiraling around the straight one. Masenko Ha After the battle with Raditz, Piccolo took Gohan to be his pupil. Through intense training, Piccolo taught Gohan how to fight. One unique technique Piccolo taught to Gohan was the Masenko blast, which translates out as Demon Blast. This was Gohan's trademark attack all throughout the Saiya-jin and Furiza sagas, but during the cell games he changed to use the Kamehameha in order to be more like his father. |
