Saiya-Jin Style

Saiya-Jin Style

Originator: Unknown
Style Master(s): Vegeta, Taurus
Students: Chibi Trunks

History:

The Saiya-jin's were a naturally powerful race. They used brute force to accomplish most of their tasks, and most of their training techniques consist of raw fighting. The Saiya-jin's rely on their strength, and also their highly advanced technology, which came courtesy of the Tsufuru-jins. With their vitality and pride, the Saiya-jin's quickly became one of the most powerful race in the universe, until Furiza nearly destroyed them all.

Training Techniques:

Raw Fighting
Raw Fighting
The Saiya-jin's have a rare ability to grow stronger after every battle, and even stronger if they are mortally wounded, but recover. Because of this, most of the Saiya-jin's Training just consisted of Raw Fighting, because it is the easiest way for them to become stronger.

Garlic Gun
Garlic Gun
We were introduced to the Garlic Gun (also called Galic Gun and Galactic Gun, but the real translation is Garlic Gun) during the Saiya-jin saga by Vegeta. When he realized that he could not defeat Goku with regular attacks, he decided to use this powerful attack. The charging time is very long, and an opponent could easily take advantage of this. The hand movements are very similar to that of the Kame Hame Ha blast, but the ki is not just expelled in the hands, but all around them in large lightning-bolt fashion. Overall, even though this attack was very powerful, the charging time brings the overall effectiveness down, so therefore Vegeta never used it again in the series.

Saiya-jin Oozaru
Saiya-jin Oozaru
Any Saiya-jin with a tail has the potential to transform into an Oozaru. The Saiya-jin must get a glimpse of full moon light in order to achieve the transformation. Going Oozaru increases the size of the Saiya-jin greatly, and as shown in the picture to the right, the form becomes monkey-like. The Saiya-jin's speed takes a small hit, but the power increases by 10x. Overall, this technique is a rather formidable one. Want to learn more about Saiya-jin Evolution? Click here!

Power Ball
Power Ball
During Vegeta's attack on the Earth, he needed to transform, but the Earth's moon had long been destroyed by Piccolo. Finding a way around this, Vegeta created the Power Ball, or Artificial Moon with ki energy. This technique simulated full moon light, and gave Vegeta the light he needed. This technique is show again in Move #3 by Taurus, who uses the same technique.

Renzokou Kikou Ha
Renzokou Kikou Ha
The Renzokou Kikou Ha is an attack where the user fires a continous streem of ki blasts. Vegeta first introduces this attack during his fight with Gohan. The blasts aren't very powerful, because the user must fire them off fast and can't take time to put a lot of ki into them. However, once the user completely master's this technique, they blasts can get more powerful, and can even make them 'heat-seeking'.

Big Bang
Big Bang
We are first introduced to the Big Bang attack during the Android Saga when Vegeta was fighting Android 19. After toying with him for a while, Vegeta actually succeeds in scaring Android 19. After ripping the Androids arms off, 19 begins to run away while Vegeta charged up a huge blast and then unleashed it, destroying the Android. This blast is charged with the palm faced straight out and is a single handed blast. This technique quickly became one of Vegeta's trademark attacks.

Final Flash
Final Flash
The Final Flash is another of Vegeta's trademark attacks late in the series and in the movies. Unlike his Big Bang, this attack is charged in both hands cupped out in front of the user. A circle of Ki first forms which quickly turns into a very dense blast. This is the attack that Vegeta used against Cell while Gohan and Cell were having the KameHameHa battle. When the Final Flash hit Cell, it didn't hurt him but it caused him to lose focus for long enough so that Gohan could finish him off.
