The episode starts where the last one left off. The scene is at the deserted area where Piccolo and Gohan are standing. Gohan is taking off his clothes, while Piccolo explains to him that he will have to spend time here on his own making a living! Gohan is sad at this and is crying for Piccolo to not leave him there. Piccolo takes off, telling Gohan he is on his own. Gohan cries of course, still standing there.

Meanwhile, Goku continues to run down Snake Way, and then believes that he will get there faster if he jumps, so he does, and eventually he misses Snake Way, and almost falls down, but he gets back up, saying running is safer.

Back to the deserted area, where Gohan is actually seen finishing up from the bathroom. He was actually peeing on a miniature cliff, when a huge dinosaur comes in and freaks Gohan out. Gohan runs as fast as he can, with the dinosaur close behind, until he trips and falls flat on the ground! Gohan is crying, while the dinosaur gets close, but then Gohan gets angry, and disappears before the dinosaur can eat him. The dinosaur looks around in disbelief, until he sees Gohan on top of the cliff, crying, and wondering how he got up there.

Meanwhile, Krillin is about to tell Chi-Chi the bad news about Goku and Gohan. He tries to rehearse what he is going to say to her, until she opens the door while he is talking! Krillin jumps a little bit, telling her hi. Chi-Chi does the same. She asks him where Goku and Gohan are, Krillin doesn't tell the truth, saying that they are "gone". Chi-Chi doesn't understand what he is talking about, and her father breaks the conversation by inviting Krillin to dinner. Krillin is about to walk in, with a funny look on his face.

Back at the deserted area, it is nighttime, and we can see packs of wolve-type animals eating meat, and a snake moving into a hole, while the creatures run after it. Next, at the top of the cliff, Gohan is scrunched up, crying, saying that he is hungry, when all of a sudden, two apples come down in front of him! He is so delighted, and jumps on the food. He wonders how it got there, but he doesn't care, and continues to eat. Meanwhile, up above, Piccolo watches Gohan finish the apples and sleep. He says that he will be there for him.

At Chi-Chi's house, Chi-Chi is seen in the kitchen alone, mad that Goku and Gohan haven't arrived, and that Krillin has been acting real strange. Meanwhile, in the bedroom, Ox-King is snoozing away while Krillin is sitting on the bed in his fighting uniform, upset that Goku is gone. He starts to leave, and gets scared when he thinks he is caught by the Ox-King, but he is talking in his sleep. Krillin then leaves in an air-car, mad that he has to tell Bulma and Master Roshi that he didn't tell Chi-Chi and the Ox-King about what happened. He looks up, telling Goku in his thoughts that he hopes he is having better luck than he is.

Meanwhile, there is a stampede heard where Gohan is, he hears it too, and it is a pack of dinosaurs running. He waves at them, trying to get them to come up and get him, but they are just running.

Bulma and Master Roshi ask Krillin if he told them, and how they took it, but Krillin tells them that he didn't tell them. They are mad at him, but they understand, they ask him if he took the Dragonballs, but Krillin forgot. Bulma is mad at him.

Meanwhile, Chi-Chi and Ox-King are speeding over to Master Roshi's house. Chi-Chi is mad because Goku and Gohan never returned and that Krillin left, and she almost crashes the car into a bunch of trees!

At Master Roshi's, Bulma is preparing the scouter, telling everyone to get up, and she begins to test it, and she says that Master Roshi's power level is 139! Master Roshi thinks it's low, but Bulma says that it must be good for an old man. Then she checks Krillin's rating, which is at 206! Krillin is happy, and says that he can beat up Master Roshi. Master Roshi thinks that it is messed up. Bulma checks Turtle's rating, saying that it is at .001, making her say that it must be right. Next, they hear someone yelling hello outside. Everyone wonders who it is. Krillin answers the door, and it's Yajirobe! Yajirobe tells Krillin to bring Yamcha to Karin Tower for special training. Krillin asks who sent him. Yajirobe tells him it was Kami. Krillin can't believe it. Yajirobe also says to not wish Goku back until one year from the present date because he is training with King Kai (yeah right, in the Japanese, he said hell, which scared everyone). He leaves, and Krillin says that he is coming back, but Bulma thinks it's someone else. And indeed it is, it's Ox-King and Chi-Chi! They get out, with Ox-King bowing down to Master Roshi, and Chi-Chi yelling out where are they? They explain what happened to them, and Chi-Chi and Ox-King scream out that Goku's dead and Gohan's kidnapped! Chi-Chi faints, and Ox-King grabs her before she hits the ground.

Meanwhile, Gohan wakes up, and goes to the bathroom. He sees a shadow of himself, and looks up at the moon. He starts to say how beautiful it is, but he stops, and he starts to grow, and Piccolo watches, wondering what is happening, until Gohan transforms into a giant ape! Piccolo can't believe it, as Gohan jumps off of the cliff, and starts creating destruction, pounding mountain after mountain down and destroying things with his own breath! Piccolo almost gets hit with one of Gohan's blasts! He then realizes how to stop him. It's the moon! He blows it up, making Gohan go back to normal, and falls asleep from the incredible power. Piccolo then pulls out Gohan's tail, realizing that's another problem. He then gives him clothes just like his father's, saying it's like his but the symbol says that he is training under Piccolo. Piccolo leaves, telling the sleeping Gohan to stay alive until he comes back from training, because he'll be counting on it!
