The episode starts with Android 20 looking around at everyone who is around, seeing that they are searching for him and don't know where he is. He starts to read the data about all of them, and looks down, laughing.

Gohan is looking around, and is scared by some animals breaking part of a cliff. Tien looks around as well, wondering where he went. Krillin is looking also, saying that with his luck he will be the one that will find him. He then steps on to the end of a cliff, and starts to fall. Krilin is screaming, and then grabs the edge of the cliff. He looks around at the view. Piccolo is up in the air searching as well.

20 then looks at Piccolo, saying that he is the one who he will get first. 20 then jumps at an unsuspecting Piccolo, who looks at him, wondering how to break free. Piccolo then communicates with Gohan, saying that the android has him, but Gohan doesn't know where he is. He then senses someone's energy fading faster, and flies after it. 20 almost has Piccolo completely but Gohan finally hits him just in time, sending him into the ground. Piccolo is weak, but can still float in the air. 20 is about to go back after them, when Vegeta, Krillin, and Tien show up.

Krillin then throws Piccolo a Senzu Bean, and Piccolo flies back to where 20 and Vegeta are about to fight again. Piccolo then gets rid of his turban and cape, and tells Vegeta that he owes him. Vegeta lets him fight, and Piccolo starts off with a bang, knocking 20 into a cliff. Android 20 then charges Piccolo, but Piccolo vanishes, then appears on top of 20, elbowing him in the head and into the ground. 20 doesn't understand how he is having so much difficulty beating Piccolo.

The island is still a mess, and in the air is Trunks, watching the rubble, saying that it is already over. He can't believe that it is over even though Goku is still there. Trunks then senses some energy still around, and he says there is still a chance! He flies off to where he senses everyone at.

Piccolo is still beating up Android 20, and 20 keeps emerging from rubble, saying that Piccolo will pay.

At Goku's house, Yamcha has already taken Goku to the house, and he is laying in bed, breathing, and Yamcha tells Chi-Chi that he will make it.

Bulma is still flying at the scene, telling Yajirobe that they are missing all of the action, when they see adult Trunks fly past the ship, and Bulma throws the ship into turbo.

Trunks continues to fly, but sees something, and asks what this means.

Piccolo continues to beat up Android 20, when all of a sudden everyone thinks that Piccolo has been grabbed again, but Piccolo actually has 20's wrist! He lifts 20, and slices his wrist off! He squeezes it, and throws it down on the ground. Gohan is now happy, saying that history has changed!

Trunks is looking at what he saw earlier, which is 19's head still laying there. Trunks asks what it is, and says that this isn't one of the androids that killed Dr. Gero!

Piccolo continues to fight Android 20, and is firing blasts that take Trunks' attention away from 19. He flies off to where he sees the smoke. 20 is still confused about how he is having difficulty beating him. Piccolo tells 20 that they have been preparing for him, which makes him mad. Everyone all a sudden senses someone's energy. Trunks arrives, and Piccolo shouts out that Trunks has arrived. Vegeta is shocked to hear that this kid's name is Trunks, and realizes that it is his son! Trunks looks at 20, thinking the same thing, he isn't one of the androids either! 20 says that he has no data on him, and says that he has to leave quickly. Trunks finally says that this android is different, and everyone is shocked to hear that these two androids are not the same ones!
