Dragon Ball Races

RacesWelcome to Dragonball Unlimited Race Archive. You will find almost every single race in Dragonball, Z, or GT below. Simply select one from the list to view that race's description.

A Note on JIN:

The Japanese suffix 'JIN' means 'person of', or when used beside a race name it describes a person of that race. Take for instance 'Namek-jin'. This can be translated out as person from Namek, or person of the Namek species. In America, we would write it out Namekian, but since 'Namekian' and 'Namek-jin' are pronounced the exact same, I have decided to keep the JIN so it will stay as original as possible.

The Controversial MAJIN:

The exact meaning of the word MAJIN had been under discussion a lot, and those of you who are veterans of the Dragonball community will know. The word MAJIN actually translates out as a Genie, or someone who does magic. This makes perfect sense when considering Bibidi and Babidi and how they used black magic, but when describing people like Yakon and Supopobitchi, the term magician doesn't really fit. In light of this, I decided to still consider MAJIN a race.
