Origins and Founders:

This species originated on the planet Namek, located in the Northern Galaxy. This planet was destroyed by Furiza and a new Planet Namek was created from a wish. The new planet is also located in the Northern Galaxy.

Specific traits:

The Namek's had green skin and a pair of antennae which allowed them to communicate telepathically.

Interesting fact:

Nail is the only Namek that was born a fighter.

Other information:

The entire race of Namek-jin that we see on Planet Namek during the Furiza Saga were birthed by Guru. Long before this, there was a catastrophe of unknown measure on the planet Namek. Guru said that the planet used to be beautiful before this, and that it is pretty desolate before Furiza blows it up. Guru is the only known survivor of the actual catastrophe, but other namek's survived because they were at other places while it was going on. Piccolo was sent to the planet Earth right when the catastrophe started, and the Super Namek Slugg was traveling throughout space.
