This episode starts right before Raditz leaves, he is holding Gohan in his hands, and Goku is struggling to get up, Raditz tells him that he has to kill 100 Earthlings by the next day or his son is dead! With that he flies off with Gohan, and Goku being mad as ever. Everyone helps him up, and Goku says that he is going to go after them, making Krillin and Master Roshi say that they will come as well, but Goku explains that there is one problem, they have both been wished back by the Dragonballs already, so they can't be revived if they die. That makes Krillin and Master Roshi upset, but still say that they will come, until someone explains that they can't, because they are far too weak. They look above, and it's Piccolo! Piccolo arrives and tells Goku that he wants to make a temporary truce, to defeat Raditz once and for all. And after he is defeated, they will settle an old score. Goku agrees, and they go off. Goku on his Nimbus, and Piccolo flying, to get after Raditz! But Master Roshi, Bulma and Krillin all decide to go see the action by plane!

Meanwhile, Raditz gets out of the crature that he made from his ship, and Gohan is hiding behind the dead farmer's truck, saying that he hates this guy, when Raditz lifts the car with his fist, and blowing it up, exposing Gohan! Gohan cries, forcing Raditz to lock him up inside the pod. As Raditz leaves he senses something, it's Gohan, with a power level of 710! He doesn't understand it, because he can't have such a high power level. He doesn't understand it, but goes about his own business. He eats some food, then checks his scouter only to find that Gohan's power level is still incredibly high, but he doesn't care. But then he senses a power of 640 moving toward him, but they are two separate powers, one 310 and one 330. He says that Kakarrot's power level is 330. He doesn't believe it, but he sees Goku and Piccolo right above him! But he doesn't understand how a kid can have such a high power level! Goku and Piccolo hear that Gohan is inside of the crature, and Goku says that he will get him out as soon as he beats Raditz. They fight, with Goku and Piccolo appearing to have a disadvantage. Raditz fires a blast down at Goku and Piccolo, blasting off one of Piccolo's arms!

Meanwhile, Bulma, Krillin and Master Roshi fly toward Goku, saying that if Goku didn't team up with Piccolo, then he wouldn't stand a chance, Krillin looks out the window, wishing his buddy good luck, as they get closer to the battlefield.
