The episodes starts with Gohan waking up in the middle of a field. He gets up, grabs a half of a coconut, and starts to go looking for breakfast. He runs around, having fun, and then kicks a tree, making fruits come down. Gohan grabs his half coconut and starts catching all of the fruits with it. After they have all fallen down, Gohan sits down and eats. But the same dinosaur that killed Gohan's friend appears in front of him, but Gohan looks at him as if he was nothing. The dinosaur goes for Gohan, trying to eat him, but Gohan jumps away, and runs, with the dinosaur behind him. Gohan dodges every move that the dinosaur makes, and Gohan finally jumps away from a huge boulder, but the dinosaur doesn't see it, and bumps right into it! Gohan then chops off his tail, and makes a fire with a log, and starts to cook his tail. Up above looking at him is Piccolo, saying that Gohan is starting to master the training.

Meanwhile, the two Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, are headed toward Earth, when the computer tells Vegeta that they are close to the planet Arlia. Vegeta wakes up, waking Nappa up as well, asking him if he wants to have some fun. Nappa agrees, so they land on Arlia. They examine the area, saying that it is pretty badly damaged. Nappa knocks down a pillar, saying that this place is in awful shape. Then, two Arlians pop out of the ground, and tell Vegeta and Nappa that they aren't welcome. They blast the two Saiyans, but their blasts have no effect! Nappa starts to power up, but Vegeta interferes through the scouter, telling him to have some fun while their there. Nappa and Vegeta surrender, and the Arlians lock them up.

Meanwhile, Master Roshi and Turtle are looking up at the sky, wondering if Goku will get what he needs. And we can see Snake Way, with Goku still running, and he finds a street sweeper. He asks the guy in the car how far it is to King Kai's place. The guy can't believe him, but he says that he is about 1/4 of the way there. Hearing that, Goku stops, not believing that he has run all of this time and he isn't even there yet. The guy offers a ride on the back of the truck, Goku agrees, and he later falls asleep on top of the truck.

Meanwhile, Vegeta and Nappa are being carried to the prison. A little farther up, we see two people fighting, with who appears to be the king and queen watching. In the prison cells, Vegeta and Nappa are locked up, along with all of the other prisoners. A man appears, and he says that he is the real king of Arlia, and was taken away from his wife. He looks at a wrist band, and the scene swiches to his wife wearing the same thing. The king tells the queen to eat something, but the queen refuses. Meanwhile, one fighter wins over the other one, and the other fighter who lost is sent to "The Pit." Hearing this, the man screams for his life, saying not to put him in there, until he is dropped in there by mechanical machines. Then, a man by the name of "Yetti" appears in front of the fighter in the pit. The man is easily 10 times his size, and backs the fighter into a corner, the man screams to get away from him, but he is killed.

Meanwhile, Gohan is running away from yet another creature, this time, it looks like a Sabertooth Tiger, and he is making the cat lose his breath. Gohan moves with incredible speed, and immediately stops, saying that this should be enough for dinner, holding his bowl with fruit in it. He hears the cat, out of breath, as he lays down and closes his eyes. Gohan runs away, telling the cat not to give up, but the cat still lays down. Gohan then is confused. But the cat then sees a twig moving back and forth in front of him. The cat jumps for it, but the twig has moved even more now, until he finally jumps, and sees Gohan holding the twig. Gohan runs again, with the cat determined to get after him.

Back on Arlia, the king appears to be bored, and the guard informs him that they captured two aliens earlier. The king says to send them in to fight, but they are already there. The king is confused, asking how they got there, and Vegeta says that they met an "unfortunate accident." The king brings in one of the guards to fight, and they start. The guard tries to hit Vegeta with his sword, but Vegeta blows his head off. The king says that he isn't bad, but then he sends down all of his guards to fight. They all blast from their mouth, but have no effect on the two Saiyans! The king then orders them to kill them!

Meanwhile on Earth, Piccolo is seen meditating, and starts to create a storm. Then Gohan is seen still running away from the cat, until he sees a twister, and both him and the cat stop dead in their tracks. Piccolo is then seen powering up, making the twister bigger. Then he powers down, making the twister go down as well. Gohan then sees Piccolo, not believing that he caused that.

On Arlia, Nappa powers up in front of all the guards, and destroys all of them. Then the king yells to release Yetti! The huge beast comes out of the pit, in front of Vegeta and Nappa. Yetti tries to fight them, but they dodge all of his attacks. He then goes for a hit on Nappa, but Nappa grabs his finger, and rips it off! The king can't believe it, and from there, Nappa blows up the huge guard, making the king run for his life. Vegeta hits him with a rock to the stomach, killing him. The original king comes up from the prison, seeing that everyone has been destroyed. Vegeta then calls for the computer to send the ships over to them. The king thanks Vegeta and Nappa, saying they will always have a place on Arlia. Vegeta and Nappa board their ship, and shoot up to the sky, and the king hears his queens voice (The Shakespeare type of lines they had here were VERY annoying. Let's hope they don't do it again in the re-dub), and they run to each other. At that point, Vegeta blasts the planet, blowing it up. Then Vegeta says that it's time to go to Earth for the Dragonballs, with Nappa saying that immortality is close by.
